Transcript: Okay, so, I’m recording this for Alex, but I figure there will probably be other people who would be interested in hearing it as well. When I was a kid, I read the Hobbit with my dad for the first time when I was five years old, and he sang a lot of the songs for me. So even when I read it now, I have this—this tune in my head that is the one that my dad sang for me when I was a kid. And I was watching the Hobbit trailer again, for the movie, and of course, their tune isn’t the same as the one I know, so, I’m gonna sing the first couple of verses of Over the Misty Mountains Cold because I wanted to share the tune that I know. Far over the Misty Mountains cold, The dwarves of yore made mighty spells, You get the idea.

My name is Jared, or you can just call me Tchy. I'm a queer kid just kickin' around on the internet. I like writing, fantasy, late nights, books, lions, punk, and queer politics. I sustain myself mainly on a diet of chocolate, salt and vinegar chips, and strong tea in a mug decorated with dirty Shakespeare quotations. Sometimes I like to draw inappropriate things. ![]()
