NOTP: Kenzi/Dyson apparently after I spent so much time wailing with disgust at the scene where Inari tried to seduce him while disguised as Kenzi, it was just so out of character and so not their dynamic and so… ugh. (Not to hate on anyone’s ship or anything, I really don’t mean to, ship what you like! And I’m sure I could like it if it was written well, there are always exceptions for me—but watching that scene made me realize it would be really hard to do it well for me in a way that doesn’t feel forced or fake or just gross. Kenzi and Dyson’s relationship feels really strongly familial to me. Very little sister/big brother.)

Hmm, perhaps. Personally I think I tend to lean more to the Chaotic side, though I suppose thought and action don’t always line up so precisely.

Oh yeah, I forgot about alignment! I tend not to play D&D as such, so I was just thinking of the abilities in computer RPGs and MMOs (WoW being the main one).

That’s what I figured! Hence my caveat. I suspect I would enjoy Paladins a lot more in a game where they’re not required to be Lawful Good.

Haha, I’m not sure the Paladin’s customary trait of always-Lawful-Good carries over that well, but I appreciate the sentiment nonetheless!

(n.b. The only RPG with a class system that I have played more than incidentally is Dungeons & Dragons, where my parties’ Paladins were usually played Lawful Anal or Stupid Good on purpose.)
